The courses offered by the Ross Institute Academy to teachers and administrators are various, with special focus on our distinctive spiral curriculum and effective pedagogical approaches. The Spiral Curriculum is grounded in Cultural History; all other disciplines integrate around this coherent core material based on chronology and cross-cultural perspectives. Workshops demonstrate the process of effective integration in both theoretical and practical applications, including classroom methods and concepts for the integration of Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Media, Technology, Math, and Science within the Cultural History core. Other workshops focus on working methods for teaching integrated and discipline-specific information to pre-collegiate students in engaging and successful ways. All courses aim to build necessary knowledge and skills for 21st century learning for students and teachers. Ross teachers are experienced and effective mentors who help workshop participants adapt the educational concepts developed and refined at Ross Model Schools into solutions that work for unique institutional situations and settings.
Visitors may sign up for one or more workshops; they may also request a tour of the unique campus, enjoy a meal in our café, which boasts an approach to delicious food that is at once Regional, Organic, Sustainable, and Seasonal.

Additional Workshops and Tours
The Ross Institute Academy can design workshops and tours to accommodate different needs of educational institutions. For example, a school trying to refine its arts program or adopt a more comprehensive approach to wellness or global studies may ask us to help to design a program specially suited to these needs. A school adopting a new one-laptop-per-student policy may enroll in a day of workshops about integrated technology projects to be used throughout the grades. Or, a school opening a new building may request a series of workshops on Classroom Design and Facilities Considerations. We can design a program based on our experience and expertise to respond to special requests.
