About Ross School

Located in Bridgehampton and East Hampton, New York, Ross School was founded in 1991 by Courtney and Steven J. Ross. They recognized that preparing students to meet the challenges of the 21st century requires innovative models to transform education. Aided by the research of many educational pioneers and leading thinkers, they set out to expand upon some of the best practices in K-12 education, combining them with the notion that leadership in an increasingly connected and rapidly changing world demands cultivating a global perspective and embracing technology. The resulting model offers a complete and uniquely individual educational experience to students from Pre-Nursery through Grade Twelve.

From its inception, Ross School has worked effectively to teach an interdisciplinary and integrated curriculum grounded in cultural history and global understanding. Through the use of project-based learning, approaches associated with Multiple Intelligences theory, and advanced technology, Ross School has prepared its students to face the 21st century with important and necessary skills of critical thinking and problem solving, collaboration and innovation, wellness and creativity, and communication and responsibility for the world in which they live. Ross School prepares children for meaningful lives and active participation in the global community at a time of monumental, rapid-paced change. Ross School aims to help students understand their needs and responsibilities in this place and time, relative to the past, in order to prepare for and embrace the future.
